Feedback on group logo

Heyo, pretty new GFX designer here. I made this logo for a café group, and would like some feedback on it.

The logo is pretty good, but it could do with (maybe) some lighting, and maybe some other things to increase the actual look of the logo, which will increase the amount of people who may click on your advert/ join your group.

On top of that, if you are using paint.net, you should do this:

  1. Use a 40%transp/60%opac brush thats grey and put some shading in the areas needed.

  2. Go into Effects > Blurs > Gaussian blur. Then play around with it.

  3. Repeat for other icons!

I’m not using paint.net, but I’ll play around with the blur to make it look better.

When I usually think of a logo, I think of more visual symbolism and not text around it. One of the rules when making a compelling logo is to avoid using text unless it’s really needed. (If it were initials, that’s debatably fine, depending on the logo.)

For this concept, I think it would be doable without text being surrounded by it because the group title will already give it away.

The logo is alright, but for next time: try to avoid using text as it can ruin the immersion
