Hello everyone. I and a friend have been developing a game for a few months now and we are getting close to release. We made quite a fine icon I think and since people told us that sponsors are the way to go, we tried experimenting with sponsors in low bids.
Our game is a fighting/competitive game, low poly and colorful but in some situations also enjoyable for a larger audience. I will show you the results of our experiments:
Any gender, <13, 13+, computer and tablet, 500 bid
Any gender, <13, 13+, tablet, 250 bid
Any gender, <13, 13+, Computer, 250 bid
We are aiming for a 0,8% CTR but as you can see we are far below that goal. And we have no idea why. The game is a test game with a few things on the baseplate, so the actual real game wouldn’t get affected in dislikes/likes because that isn’t fully finished yet. The test game has a 20% like ratio and 0 concurrent at the moment, and I think people are not clicking the sponsor because of that. It just doesn’t seem attractive to people if they see that nobody is playing and that past visitors have given it such a low rating.
Does anyone have suggestions or ideas as to why it doesn’t meet our expectations in the nearest? I would like to hear them because we don’t want to spend our big budget on sponsor results like these. Thanks in advance!
Ps: Here is the game icon that shows up with the sponsor.
