I think the idea of the game is quite good, however the map could be significantly improved. Make the terrain more detailed, add more hills, mountains, caves, materials. Different types of trees.
I think the main piece of advice I can give you is to copy nature. Copy the randomness in nature to make your game’s nature look significantly better.
