Feedback on "Humanoid:SetStateEnabled"

Humanoid:SetStateUnabled(“Running”, false) just doesn’t work

Affected URL: Humanoid | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub

Doesn’t work in what way?

You pass a HumanoidStateType, not a string.

Even the usage example does this:

Though I’m not sure why it accepts the string names of states without throwing errors.

oh sorry for my lack of clarity, of course i used the enum, it didnt output any errors, what i’m trying to say is that the running animation still executes even when disabling the running state with this command

That’s probably because you didn’t do it on both the server and client. I just tested so, and animations just break completely.

Anyhow, if you want to alter/delete animations, you should look into forking the Animate script instead.

Hello!

Just closing the loop here - looks like this is resolved (thanks for the assist @halosviel). It also looks like the server/client behavior is noted in the documentation, so I don’t see a docs solution here.

Have a great day,
