Feedback on Lab Corridor Lobby/Building

I created this lab corridor with future lighting and was wondering if there were any possible changes I could make? Keep in mind this is only a lobby so no player space adjustments I think are needed.
(Also don’t comment about making it more “lively” as it is supposed to be dull and bleak.)

Of course, it’s supposed to be lab corridors used as a shelter/safe house so it’s not supposed to be the exact same as the reference image.

It looks pretty nice! My only feedback would be that the lighting feels way too gloomy and abnormal. From the reference picture, you can see how bright the lights are, whereas this has much more dim and moody lighting.

Exactly what I’m going for. Since the game’s atmosphere is supposed to be a mixture of the apocalypse, chaos, destruction, and labs. Basically think Aperture Science, Black Mesa, and of course, the end of the world.

Ah I see, though the floor lighting still looks a little strange in my opinion (might be because of the material):

I also think that the build looks a little plain in terms of the walls, floor, and ceiling. Its just grey, and I do understand its personal preference but it just makes it sorta boring to look at. If you take something like SCP: Containment Breach’s corridors, they give much more detail:

Other than that, this is a pretty nice build! Just a few minor nitpicks here and there.

True, I was thinking of maybe switching a few things for concrete and granite. Plus I don’t have the best texture skill nor can I find a reliable place for textures.

Definitely. Textures are very under-utilized, and when they are, the execution sorta falls flat. I recommend trying to experiment when it comes to materials, and see what sticks and what doesn’t. Concrete is a very good start when it comes to this build, as it has a noticeable texture unlike plain (smooth) plastic. Considering how this has a lot of lighting, materials will definitely make it a lot more better looking (mainly because of how the lighting is affected by material).
For reference, here is one of my builds in an old lobby I made:

This looks nice. Personally, I would add more detail on the walls and ceilings. I would also change up the material and play around with your lighting to really bring life to your building. Overall well done.

The thing is, it’s not supposed to have life, instead it’s all doom and gloom. Think with portal’s atmosphere.

Just found at something really interesting, dark granite looks like a much better rusty/stained metal than rusted metal would ever look!

Edit: For that matter, stained and cracked sorts of materials look really good when darkened,

After changing up some materials, it looks a lot more similar to the refrence image and glossy! @bbrvan @Mr_Unlucky

Looks great, I love how it looks lowpoly, but still seems real. Great work!

Thank you. I will make sure to use these tips in future buildings!

This looks Excellent. Nice and clean as a lab should be, and with a nice modern look to it. The swords are a bit out of place, though.

The couches look very out of place imo. Try making it a bit darker, or even change them into more modern looking benches.

No, I think it fits, it’s supposed to be bleak, not modern either, it’s a safe house zone of sorts, so it’s rushed. An alternative present.

Okay, I’ll make sure to remove it.

I just realized, you’re using the new lighting update. It looks really good in this setting. I hope this comes out soon!

Thanks. I really hope it does come out soon too to clients.

It looks nice, my only suggestion is maybe mess around with the lighting to add more colour and vibrance to it! I noticed the reference image looked alot more blue as well.

Apart from that, your build looks cool! Hope your game becomes successful!
