Feedback on Low Poly Buildings

Hi!
I´ve been working this weeks in some buildings, but Im not entirely satisfied, here are some models.
What can I add?
How can I improve it?
I need feedback, so I can become better.
Nice day!

hello
im not entirely sure if this applies to you since you are building low poly
but i would suggest adding detail to the roof like so:

  1. typically what i do when starting a roof is build a tile
    1
its a simple union where a cylinder subtracts another cylinder

  2. next, i line several of those up and group them

  3. and then i go line by line and place them (i suggest placing them at the base of the roof and then rotating them however much you see fit, and then using local movement to move them up)

to add variation you can then rotate every other row an amount you see fit, this adds more detail

  4. and lastly depending on what you want your roof to look like, and to make the tiles look less out of place, i would suggest adding a frame around it like so (the green parts lining my roof)

now i dont know exactly what you want your build to look like, but if you think that adding tiles doesn’t necessarily match your style, i suggest just adding some sort of framing around the roof, or maybe loose boards/bricks on the top and maybe even a chimney

good luck

They seem fine with me, just with a few small issues I happened to notice that once fixed, make them look better

For the first three images,

  • I think it would be a good idea to possibly redo the windows of the house, as they seem a little more detailed than other parts of the build, and the framework doesn’t match to well with other pieces of the mesh/model/union(calling this house from now on).

  • It also seems to not match the surrounding areas in style to well. It might be better to add more textures to different parts, or simplify the environment around it details, such as replacing it with parts instead of terrain.

For the last image,

  • I think the roof appears a bit then for they style of builds, as well as the framework for the door and windows. They seem to all be a little thin. I think increasing there width should help the build a ton.

  • The next thing I would suggest is possibly resizing the tree. It is scaled up way to much compared to the house, maybe the proportions look weird. All I would suggest is reducing it to the height of the house, or maybe even a bit less

  • As well, a small change, but I would suggest turning the tiles leading to the house be turn in different rotation. This should help make them look more unique.

  • The final thing I felt poked up to me is the tiled ground. I believe it could look great in the right circumstance, but it feels out of place with the other parts of the game.

Hope this has helped you make these better!

These look very nice, only one recommendation.

  • Use more rigid shapes, most of the shapes in these are all the same.
