After experimenting with different low-poly builds, I decided to try making a low-poly tree in Blender.

If you’re going to ask for a review on an asset, providing more than one picture as well as what you pulled inspiration from (so we can see why you made the choices you did) is essential to giving us stuff to give feedback on (and if it’s a mesh, provide a wireframe). Help us help you ![]()
Like with this thread, all I can say is that it sure does look like a tree - but that’s hardly helpful to your growth as an artist ![]()
Oops, you’re right. lemme add the concept art. Thanks for reminding me!
Edit: Aaaand done. Hope this helps!
Thanks for providing the inspiration! I can see why you went with the simplified icosphere now, because before seeing the inspiration I didn’t like the leaves, but now that I know, I like them now.
One last thing:
I’ll add that too, gimme a sec.
Edit: I recreated the wireframe since i couldn’t find the original one.
Looks really good thanks, for providing another picture.
My Suggestions
Looks really good I think. You should add some grass and some rocks next to tree, and you could also make some more branches on the trees to make more leaves on them…
Try making the colors of the tree leaves! A little more brighter or making them the same colors. You could also make some little tree branches, on it and make more leaves to it!!
That’s all you really done a great job. On your low poly tree can’t wait to see more from you…
Cool… Blender dont work with my computer rip xD
What I do for tree’s is this:
First get the style of tree I want:

I pretty much do a very similar process, but thanks anyways!
I think the concept art is amazing, and having that replicated in your final product is ideal. A few differences I noticed are the height at which the leaves are placed. It will be much more aesthetically appealing with a variety of heights, it also a basis in professional culinary plating.
I also agree with keeping the colors brighter, because that brings about the feeling of liveliness.
Anyway, I am quite curious about the game your trees are for, because I think it could be really fun.
Thank you for noticing the details I changed! I’m actually working for a pretty small studio that’s focusing on nature-styled obbies. Again, thank you for your feedback!
Uh…
I am aware of that. Hence why its called “concept” art.
In the future, I think you should call it a reference instead of a concept. Concept art tends to be illustrated.
Didn’t realize it said concept. I thought you were trying to flaunt a model that wasn’t yours. My bad
