Before you comment saying iv’e already made this post, iv’e re-posted this because this is what the final outcome is/ is similar to, so opinions on this are the most
valuable for me
So Iv’e only added 2 scenes for now, but ill add about 15-20 when i release the game.
Opinions on overall look would be appreciated! Also if you prefer something else over this, for example you don’t like the fading in and fading out please let me know!
Overall I think it’s a very nice UI. I really like the fading between the scenes, it adds to the eerie feel. The tweening on the text buttons is also a nice touch. Good stuff.
Do you think i should also tween the size so that when the mouse enters the button it expands and when it leaves it shrinks? Do you think it would look off with the eerie vibe? Thanks for the help!
I really like the font, buildings, etc, it really gives that kind of creepy feeling. Maybe add some lightning strikes in the background for the first scene? Up to you
I really like your idea, i think its very unique. However, i think having lightning strike is a little too much, so instead, ill have a crow that passes right by the grave (maybe even sit on top for a few seconds) now and then.
Its very early. Iv’e only made this, the Intermission scene, Monster Skins, and most of the game code. I do spend a lot of time on studio however, so it should come out in maybe 2 or 3 months.
Also thank you! I am constantly being worried about the game being a flop, because of how rigged the system is, but thanks for cheering me up!
Also the graphics will be much better, i haven’t actually really touched them at all.
One thing that could make it extra scary would be a blood drip animation from the mouse position when you enter a button. So, on MouseEnter event have like red blood drop ImageLabels dripping from the mouse’s position.
It’s very do able but i think it doesn’t really fit the vibe too well. I’m not really going for a full on horror vibe, more of an Amnesia vibe with mystery and stress. I might try it out and keep it if i like it.
Yeah that text glitch effect is awesome! I agree with Veloctiy’s suggestion on making the camera a bit slower. An idea, completely up to you, would be to add that text effect you did for hovering over the buttons to the title of the game. Rather than make it when you hover over it though, you can make it more of a random effect that happens every few seconds. This looks really cool!
I’ll make sure to make the camera slightly slower.
For the logo having the hover effect, i tried it once, but thought it might be irritating for the player, so i removed it (I might have had a strong head ache on that day). I’ll try to add it once more and see if it still irritates me.
The chills have been sent down my spine. Awesome job with this eerie menu screen, specifically its features. The fringe on the font has a very touchy and real feeling to it, but I must speak for the scenery. The scenery itself delivers a very powerful lick of what your game may be about, before your players even hit the ‘Play’ button. Amazing job, good luck!
I really like this, and I also like how the words on the side go to the right and get slightly bigger when your mouse is over that specific word. Nice job!
