Feedback On Meltdown System

I want some feedback on this cool meltdown script I made for this sci-fi research labs.

And here’s the link to the game: Contrivance Labs [Preview Version] - Roblox
Is there anything I could add to it? I have tried fire and explosions, to no success.

Edit almost a month later: I got the explosions in, and maybe I’ll add some fire. I have learned so much this past month, and the labs are going to be a project I work on for years! I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

I made it into a model! Here’s the link: Meltdown Script - Roblox
Let me know if there’s anything I need to fix with the model.

Hey! That looks amazing! Maybe you can try lowering the volume just a little bit. The background music also gives that tension feeling that anytime you will get hit by the explosion. Wonderful job mate! :+1:

Now I’m just trying to get this to trigger when the temperature reaches a critical point.

Ooh! That is a nice idea tho. Maybe with a little GUI that shows the temperature on the screen

The music reminds me of the music from the Pacer test. Great job mate!

I’ve tried getting in explosions and fire, but neither of them worked. I made a new category about it, and I understand what would make it work, but I don’t know what tools do each of those things, and where to put them. So, for now there aren’t any explosions.

Hey man, that’s amazing! Maybe try adding a screen GUI flash to the explosion? It’s pretty easy if you connect it to a remote event, then have it tween background transparency to 0.25 and back to 1 on client event. Other than that though, looks great!

Thanks! I will work on that. Updates are almost daily, so be sure to check in for any updates. Also, the game was created a few days ago, and has already reached at least 109 visits! PROGRESS!!!

ALIENS. portals open up everywhere and killer aliens spawn around the place. Also, gravity flipping, limbs resizing, and general disruption of space and time.

Woah. I was not expecting that, but some of those sound like interesting ideas. You may see some of these ideas in the future. We update the game a lot, so it shouldn’t be too long before those come out. Thanks!

Another feature coming in the next update! I can’t wait to release it.New Update!
Here’s a sneak peek.
Edit: The update’s out, and it has some new features that the video didn’t show!

It’s really cool! Do you know what the name of the music is?

This is pretty cool. Maybe you could have those flashing/rotating emergency lights to give it more effect.

I used to have those, but then we did a total revamp, and have switched to stationary lights.

This is a very good starting point, however I think there should be more added gameplay elements that the players can interact with in the event of a meltdown, e.g. opening last minute cooldown vents, manually disabling reactor power, etc. But make sure that these features are not in the same room as main reactor controls, as so the players have to actively rush to stop the meltdown, and there is the suspense of “Will I reach it in time? Will my friends enable the other reactor safeguards in time?” etc.

where is the control rods? aswell as the cooling systems, etc. you just made chernobyl.

Those things are being worked on. They should be out in a few updates. Also, this video is now very outdated, as there have been significant updates since this video.
