Feedback on my first showcase?

I recently decided that it might be fun to try making a showcase game. It isn’t the best but I’m going to keep trying and hopefully do better every time.

Things I learned making this:

  • The smooth terrain tool makes a more topographic look but you can accomplish “smoothing” by turning down the strength on the erode tool.
  • I wasn’t sure if Atmos was worth the 150 robux but it 100% is. I got to try many skyboxes an lighting effects until I found one I like.
  • Background sounds change how walking around feels a lot.
  • The Brushtool plugin is helpful because copy-pasting something and moving it where you want is very very time consuming. It makes it so I can place models roughly where I want them quickly and then I can go back and do the small movements after I have them all roughly where I want.

Things I know I could improve on:

  • Transitioning into the edge of the map could be more smooth.
  • Working with water is not very easy and I should improve on that.

How do you think I could improve?

I just added a depth of field effect because I’m procrastinating doing my homework…
