So, on my main developer account, I made an Alpha version of a game called Broken Parkour. It’s game design and build is inspired by the loving Getting Over It! It would help if you would visit and give your feedback.
Dude this game is awesome! I love the part in the beginning with the guis. But did you add any checkpoints? I don’t know cause I couldn’t get that far lol. But if not you should definitely add them.
Honestly I really liked it. The begin cutscene, the different worlds thing, the snowmen throwing snowballs, it’s really well made and clearly effort was put in it, if you ever finish it, I’ll most definitely play!
Overall a really fun experience and I was quite saddened it ended when I reached the end for so far.
This is a well made game, I could see the similarities between this and Getting Over It! Although I didn’t get so far, I see that you put a lot of effort into the objects that I jump on to. I have a few suggestions though.
I think the lighting at the bottom should be more brighter and take place on a sunny sky. The lighting right now is a bit flat and it could use some shadows.
There should be checkpoints if people would like a more forgiving experience, like what other people suggested. If there were checkpoints, make sure the bottom is completely filled with spikes so that the player can instantly go back.
My last suggestion is that you could have narrator taunts you for your mistakes, like what we see in Getting Over It. Since there would be no voice-acting, maybe you could just have the death screen taunt you,
You could also add some kind of object that can literally slip you off the platform back to the start. The little, infuriating things that can really fuel the rage.
This game has potential, and I see alot of things can be done to make it better. It’s a nice rage game, but I don’t hold up too well it comes to it hehe.
