Survive 7 Days In Space – Open Testing
Hey y’all! I’ve finally opened Survive 7 Days In Space for public testing, and I’d really appreciate some honest feedback.
The game has been in development for a while, and while it’s definitely playable now, there’s still a lot being improved. More than anything, I need real players breaking things and telling me what feels confusing or frustrating.
The Game Loop
You start aboard the ISS Perseverance as your crew approaches a newly discovered planet in the Helios Reach. Things go very wrong, forcing everyone into escape pods before the ship is destroyed.
Rescue is seven in-game days away.
Your only goal is simple:
Stay alive until rescue arrives.
To do that you’ll have to:
- Manage your oxygen supply by carrying tanks and building oxygen relays around your base.
- Keep your power grid running so your equipment doesn’t shut down.
- Mine resources with your salvage laser and build a base that’s actually necessary to survive.
- Work alongside AI crew members that have different roles, personalities, and can be ordered around. They can panic, get infected, or die permanently.
- Explore procedural caves while avoiding the creatures living inside them. They investigate sounds, protect their nests, and become much more dangerous at night.
- Survive on a completely procedural planet, so every run has a different map.
The game supports up to 3 ai crew, although it’s designed to be played with a squad.
Why I’m posting
I’m looking for feedback from people who haven’t spent hundreds of hours working on it.
The biggest thing I want to know isn’t just what broke—it’s what confused you.
Sometimes a feature technically works but is explained so poorly that everyone assumes it’s bugged. That’s just as important for me to know.
If something made you stop playing, tell me why.
Known Issues
- Some player faces don’t load because older saved accessory IDs no longer exist.
- Crew AI still makes questionable decisions sometimes.
- A few contracts can’t currently be completed because one tracked stat hasn’t been implemented yet.
*Loading issues as well as cinematic being not fully finished. - The intro sequence can be a little rough on slower connections.
- Graphical issues with performance
- Overall balance, especially Days 6 and 7, is still being worked on.
Feedback I’m Looking For
- Was the first 10 minutes easy to understand?
- Did you know what you were supposed to do?
- Did oxygen feel tense, or just annoying?
- Were the AI crew actually helpful?
- What made you stop playing, if anything?
Whether it’s a bug report, balance issue, or just something that felt weird, I’d love to hear it.
Thanks for checking the game out, even if you don’t, every bit of feedback helps make it better.
