Me and my friend have been working on a simulator game and I would like to hear feedback on terms of visuals, surroundings, gameplay, etc. All feedback is appreciated, positive or negative.
Played the game! This mini review touches on some missing features, just ignore if you haven’t implemented them yet.
I like the character model a lot. It would be nice to see something happen when you click, or reach a certain amount of clicks. As it stands, there is no reason to want to obtain more clicks. I collected 600 to purchase the first egg, and it subtracted the 600, but I received no indication that I had gotten any pet. I actually quit the game at that point, but I just joined again to be sure this was accurate, and the pet was in my inventory. At the very least a message should pop up saying “Your new pet is in your inventory!”
Upgrades tab doesn’t seem to function at all. It does not give any indication of what it would do if it did work. (price to upgrade, effect of upgrade)
The setting would do well with some additional detail. I spent the first half a minute thinking that I would fall off if I left the small path, haha. I would start by adding some grass, rocks, mushrooms or any other small models to drop around the ground and make it feel less like the void.
Biggest problem with the game in its current state: no real reason to keep playing.
(Feel free to toss criticism at my review as well, first time writing one.)
Thanks for the ideas! I may add some particle effects or titles for a certain amount of eggs opened or clicks. The egg opening thing is definitely something I’m planning on adding in the near future. There are eggs (two of them) above the little path you mentioned on the ground.
Spent some time trying to reach the clouds, wasn’t able to get up there. Does more clicks increase how high you jump, or will that just be part of the upgrades?
