I just made a sofa with meshes in roblox studio. Can I improve it?
The sofa looks like It’ll snap down the middle. Make it thicker or add legs down the middle.
hey there ! here are a few things that you can improve.
- lower the sofa, they’re usually not that high
- make the bottom part less rounded, most of the time the bottom isn’t that rounded.
- give the pillows another color, I’d suggest nougat or any kind of light brown to match the couch.
hope you take these into consideration and I can’t wait to see final result !
Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it alot!
I agree with Crazed, i’d make it a bit less long/wide and make a metal frame with legs (dark grey with some reflectance) instead of the brown support things
Thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate it!
Simple Answer: Yes.
Now how do we do that?
1. Work on the lower part of the sofa so it looks more “natural”. As of now it looks too “roblox” or cartoony where something is just off about it.
2. Get better textures for example a big contrast between the pillows and sofa base color.
3. Study Color theory or to reduce stress, find a color that matches with the sofa. Like how you can say red goes with orange, or gold goes with white. What can Brown match to? You can’t simply go to google for that as well because you should know what tone you want to show using your model. For example a nougat and brown like someone’s request above could give a warm tone. (This advice probs only useful for showcase builds but good to point out )
4. Don’t reuse the same meshes especially with the pillows. I suggest to have other meshes for it. And in most cases where that’s difficult for a beginner cause honestly screw Blender, you can make your pillows more lively by not giving it that “commercial sense”. Make it look natural, use your own sofa as an example if you want. How are the pillows scattered or positioned?
5. This is just a tip, but you can use Google or any other picture site as reference to model said sofa
Ok thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it!
