I was wondering where in particular I could improve my rural Ontario showcase!
I just feel as if something is “missing” from it.
This is really impressive! I’m not great a building myself, but from looking around I found a few things that I think are worth pointing out:
- Some of the rocks on the path up to the road are floating, such as the one I’ve circled here.
- Sometime the outlines of puddles can be seen, such as here on the road.
- This one I could very much be wrong about as it doesn’t rain much where I live, but I think the puddles should be reflecting the sky rather than showing the ground… Maybe I explained this one poorly but I’ve included another screenshot showing this.
- Last of all (and much more of a nitpick than the other points) when standing in some locations the cloud particles have very obvious boundaries on where they can and can’t spawn. Not sure if it’s even possible to fix this but I figure it’s worth pointing out at least.
Aside from those VERY nitpicky comments, I did find myself lagging the entire time that I was in the game, although considering my computer’s in the low-middle range regarding specs that might be expected.
Overall if I were to place my vote on what you might feel is “missing” then maybe it’s just those final polish kinds of changes, the overarching aesthetic is great and the detail on the models throughout the map is impressive!
I hope something here helps!
This rural showcase looks good! It fits the horror theme! How long did this take to make? It’s cool!
(sorry, i had to play the majority of this at very low graphics for my phone’s sake)
Other than that, love the realism; everything looks well made and perfectly fits the scene!
