Feedback Or Thoughts About My New GFX?

I recently made a new gfx which took around 2-3 hours to make and edit, what are your thoughts?

Overall I was really happy about how this one came out and I hope you all enjoy it as well. And for people questioning on the texture of the gfx, I added some style to is to make it more like a watercolor/oil painting.

Also, what would you estimate the price to be?

I have been getting very split answers about the stylistic approach of the oil paint like texture on my gfx, so here is the un edited version for you all:

Which one?
  • 1st Oil Painting-like GFX
  • 2nd Clean No Style GFX

Wow! It looks really good! I really like the blur on some parts of the GFX. The filter is definitely unique.

I’ve never actually seen anything like it, usually you get a poor result when something like this is done.

But it’s defiantly more neat as presented here.

I think you should stick with this paint-like style, there’s defiantly a lot of people that’ll be interested in something like this.

I would say the price for this is probably 800-2k without a doubt.

I honestly don’t like the oil paint look, it looks highly computer generated and not good in any way at all. (since it’s just random strokes and really uneven color, etc) It also doesn’t really fit the render here, like maybe if it was a nature render it would look better but this is just awful. Some rust or areas that may have been weathered off would be nice too.

I would not pay more than 700 for this

Here’s some stuff that can let you improve on this render :
Change camera angle
Change posing because it looks stiff
Try to experiment some more with lighting
Try to make the sword glow by using (IF the sword was intended to be glowing)

the watermark makes me confused what’s the floor even made of

Looks really good! The shading and lighting are very good! but it’s a bit dark you could give the character a bit more light!

I’m getting totally split answers here XD but I updated the poll so that you can see the different version that might be more to your liking?

Sorry, but its there for safety reasons! You can only remove it by buying it from me

That gfx looks so fire!!,
honestly i prefer the 2nd one over the first one the first one is kinda mess to me, but you can also add a 1- little bit more “life” in it by adding a car going on the way 2- fix the lighting, kinda hard to see the character
But honestly even if you dont do these 2 the gfx is still fire and i’d rate it 8.5-9/10

It looks pretty natural to me, sorta reminds me of the Clone Wars style a bit.

Plus it gives off a unique look considering that there’s almost no artwork that looks like this.

@sam_0987654321best @orangewarrior78 I get where both of you are coming from and I like both of them, and thank you for the advice.

Wow. This is amazing work man! I like the oil painting like GFX more because it adds more depth and creativity. Really cool man, keep up the work!:sunglasses:

Really good!, Love the realistic vibe!!! Not, a fan of that, but, that really stuck out to me!!!

Keep it up,. It’s Great!!!

My overall thoughts is that the first render looks very “bad” in other words. I did vote the first render as the best until I zoomed into the image. The problem is that the “paint” detail looks very random, with no natural element in it.

The second render seems decent, but the background is a bit out of place if that is the right word.

My price estimate might just be because I don’t believe in charging so much for a single render, but I wouldn’t sell this for more than 80 robux. Now for a lot of people that might seem like a troll, but in my opinion you shouldn’t charge over 10 dollars for something that cost a few hours and 0 dollars to create. People would pay for the effort and render.

Out of randomness, I do think you should calculate the cost of the render for you, and then estimate how much value the render would have, instead of saying “700 robux, 1000 robux” just from your opinion on how it looks.

Oil filter one looks very unique and cool! I don’t like the camera angle though. Good job!

Yus, lets spend a couple hours on this render and editing to sell this for 0.08 dollars. If we put that against your post of renders then your stuff would be virtually nothing. me sad :frowning: You talk about spending hours on end worth not even a pack of gum when from the looks of it you dont spend 30 minutes on yours.

You may think that is fair but that is a serious underpay. Its like working at a store, your working and working and it doesn’t cost you anything but your time, and someone like you comes up and pays us 3 dollars an hour (underpaying the minimum wage) Please first experience the time and effort put into this. If you want, I will screenshot the “effort” you talk about.

This isn’t even half of what i edited, and you say I didn’t put effort in this?!!? You obviously never seem to experience effort into things like this.

If you would have seen this on a game you wont think, oh this is cheap art that you can buy for literally NOTHING because it totally doesn’t have effort or time in it to be worth even half a piece of gum or M&Ms. By your standards you should be paying people to buy your work.

Please experience hard work and effort put into one of your own renders before going out so boldly of how worthless a piece is that you have to estimate the price. I can understand where everything else comes from, I know I asked what it should the worth be, but seriously dude, get your noggin out of your roblox mesh parts.

If was to get a reaction out of me, you won. If you were legit and did not understand why I got mad, I’m sorry.

After reviewing your screenshot, I do have a slightly better understanding of your ways, but you also refer to how I said you did not put effort into it. I simply said “you shouldn’t charge over 10 dollars for something that cost a few hours and 0 dollars to create.”, not “You put zero effort into this”

Another thing is how you refer 3d renders to working a shift at a store. In that case, your standing on your feet for hours at a time, interacting with people, moving and lifting heavy objects, and working hard. Now compare that to sitting down, looking at a screen, and adding layers of pixels essentially. The only thing you might feel is neck pain and stress, not legitimate physical strain.

“You obviously never seem to experience effort into things like this”.
Ah yes, this sure explains why I’ve never experienced effort into lego game 3d renders.

One other thing I will point out is how you said “Lets spend a couple of hours on this render and editing to sell this for 0.08 dollars. If we put that against your post of renders then your stuff would be virtually nothing.” Unless I am reading that wrong, you are basically calling my artwork utter trash, and claiming a seat above me. Now, I don’t care if people say their better than me (in this case, it would be true), but you did not have to point it out. It’s rude for one, and somewhat offensive for some people.

Yes, that is somewhat true but this can also be applied to jobs such as animating for Pixar, or concept art for big companies. They make amazing movies, title art, and in a way its similar, even the process to crating games and gfx’s on Roblox.

Ah, I did say, against your own standards it would. I never claimed, I’m just pointing out if you would apply your standards to yourself, you would have that ranking system. I never intended to point out that I was higher than anyone, it was to point out my way of thinking about the flaw of your thoughts.

I don’t really see a difference between the two.

The oil paint texture isn’t really noticeable between the original.
