Hi everyone! ![]()
I’m a solo developer and I recently released Penalty!, a 1v1 penalty shootout game. I’d really appreciate feedback from fellow developers before I start pushing it harder.
Game link: The Penalty Challenge | Play on Roblox
About the game
- 1v1 penalty shootouts: 5 kicks each, then sudden death
- Play against other players/friends, or climb a bot ladder (Rookie → Legend)
- Shooting: aim + hold-and-release power meter, curve, Panenka, knuckleball, different run-ups
- Keeping: read the shooter, bluff, then dive for a corner
- Slow-motion broadcast-style replays of top-corner goals and big saves
- A hub plaza with 6 fields, a cosmetic shop (balls, gloves, goal explosions, emotes), daily quests and a Hall of Fame
- Designed mobile-first; also plays on PC (no controller support yet)
What I’d like feedback on
- First 5 minutes: is the tutorial clear and short enough? Where did you lose interest?
- Mobile controls: do aiming, the power meter and keeping feel good on your phone?
- Difficulty: is the bot ladder too easy or too hard?
- Performance: any lag or low FPS? Please mention your device.
- Retention: what would make you come back tomorrow?
- Monetization: everything in the shop is cosmetic only. Does anything feel unfair or pushy?
Known issues
- No gamepad/console support yet
- The game is currently 16+ while it goes through Roblox Kids & Select review
Thanks a lot for taking the time, any feedback (even harsh) is welcome!
