so months ago, i worked on this game called “that one border game” which is basically a roleplay, border game in a post-apocalyptic world with zombies with multiple roles such as civilian where you have to pass the border, guard where you have to defend the border, scientist where you have to test the civilian who passed the border and finally inspector who check the papers (reserved for admin currently). i worked for a while and when i thought that it was ready, i published it and started an ad campaign (9 credits/day for 2 days). i was able to get 2000 visits and a few members on discord. however the game quickly died after the campaign and i then took a break of several months. now we are here and i was wondering if i should continue working on the game or just stop working on it and try to make another project. i already have other ideas for other games but giving up on this one would be pretty sad since i spent a lot of time on it. so here’s the game link to test it: (alpha) ☢️ that one border game - Roblox

Hi, there is a similar game, “Virus Border Roleplay” with about 100 CCU right now, created in 2020, so probably more polished.
Your idea sounds interesting, but that game has a small number of players, so idk why it’s not more popular? That game’s idea and yours sound pretty good

yeah i know about this game. and idk why i don’t have a lot of players. maybe it’s because it’s not polished enough so i added alot of things after release like quests, random event, tutorial, … but still i don’t have alot of players. i think the main issue is that the game needs to be played with minimum 8 players (like 1 inspector, 2/3 guard, 1/2 scientist and the rest are civilians) for the game to be enjoyable. this seemed impossible to achieve so i was thinking of just scrapping the game and working on another one. and i don’t think that people don’t execute the idea well, it’s just that it gets quickly boring after playing alone for a while.
