the " Tony " guy that is supposed to kill me isn’t moving. but props to you for maintaining my interest in the game longer than the last time I visited it.

I guess one way to make the quest of killing " Tony " functioning is to either:

a: hire a scripter and make a functioning NPC that attacks the player

b: take an actual functioning free npc out the toolbox

Also, since I guess you don’t have any scripting skills. which is totally fine btw, I atleast expect it to be made up for in other aspects of your game. E.g building, terrain etc…

I agree with this, but I’d just like to add some more.

I believe the Tony NPC is supposed to give players quests, therefore the NPC should be anchored and it should be able to talk to people.

Not to mention there aren’t any weapons we can use to complete the quests.

The blacksmith and accompanying NPC lose their arms, might want to fix that, as well as making them able to interact with the players.

This looks pretty cool, but I think the windows are way too yellow and bright for what you’re going for.!

I opened up the studio to create a little example for you.

First I changed the spacing between the window bars and made the frame a little bit smaller.

For the actual window, I used a yellowish .5 transparent block on the outside and put the neon block inside of the transparent block. This way you get a glow effect without actually blinding the user.

I also added a burlesque lighting effect to give it a look that fits the theme.

I hope this helps.

IIRC the game before this, Morphy, was aimed at being a medieval game, therefore it makes sense that the windows should be dimmed (but they should be dimmed anyway, regardless of medieval theme or not (unless you’re doing a cartoony game, but that’s a subject for another day)).

While I’m on the subject of this game’s predecessor, I should mention that it was good to remove the guns you had, and that if you’re adding more weapons, you should use melee weapons like swords and axes, although I’m not sure if you’re aiming for the same theme in this game.

Good luck with your game though.

Tony is in fact going to be a quest giver, we just haven’t finished up any quests et, probably for the next update. I am working on making a sword or two for the quests upcoming, but am making trees so I can earn some robux to keep the game going so that’s what I’m focusing on in Blender atm

Also @goldencowboy I’m working with my scripters on making quests/quest guis

Done. Thanks for letting me know

I’m kinda a bit confused on why you’re wanting feedback on the game this early. It doesn’t seem to have much core game mechanics at this point.
While it’s your choice, this is your second post about feedback for a project, and as it’s such an early state, things can change rapidly.

I’ve seen many of your posts, and there’s always something you can pick out of them: you have a habit of rushing. You jump into and do things too early. My advice would be to actually try to have a finished product for this game, before you ask for feedback. Otherwise, this topic may as well serve no value to you in a week or so.

I think I’ll heed your advice this time, thanks
