Halloween is just around the corner and i want to wear something fancy, but it’s hard to find the right hat when i have to scroll through 60 pages. It would be great if i can filter out all my horror (or other) genre hats for easy access.
P.S. Why on earth is the Halloween Harbinger sorted under the town and city genre?

This would be a cool feature.
Also, there are quite a few hats in the wrong genres right now
Might even be time to update the genres because I there are literally only 2 hats in the RPG category and 0 in the FPS category. This might be due to the fact that games and hats share the same genres so it might be high time to separate the two and re-evaluate which categories should stay, which should be change, and what new ones should be added.
Ouch, i don’t think any employee is going to volunteer for that.
Yea as @EndorsedModel said, the item genres should probably be fixed. I would suggest calling them Themes and having ones such as “Halloween” and “Patriotic” since there are many themed around those topics.
Expanding upon your idea, Maplestick, I would just suggest sorting by genre in the entire catalog. Why make a feature just for hats in the catalog when you can make it for the entire catalog?
Hats (and all assets) will eventually be able to be made by users, so I don’t think we even need to manually correct genres. Instead, have a list of genres for items and users vote on which genre(s) they think an item fits. The item’s genres could be the top x voted on. This is how Nexusmods does it, and I think it works out wonderfully. You also solve this issue for every single type of asset at the same time.
Because you trick or treat in a town/city
This would be a cool feature I guess. I can see why some people would be drawn towards this.
