Filter Search by Roblox Staff

As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to find staff replies or commentary on a specific subject.

Recently, I tried to look up if staff have commented on using autoclickers. There’s no easy way to do this, past going off announcement topics, checking staff among the Users in a thread, and then searching by their activity individually. I could go in-depth on the autoclicker example or others like it if need-be.

The easiest way to do this would likely be allowing us to filter or check the activity of the Roblox_Staff Group. Roblox staff - Developer Forum | Roblox. I can’t sort by group though in the Advanced Search.

If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my experience using the forum because I wouldn’t have to scour the forum for answers. A more direct way to get answers would be there with this request.

Note that this is different from existing feature requests about filtering by Roblox staff as this one is more forum-wide and searching than about highlighting in a specific thread.

This is a good idea

It looks like you can do group:Roblox_Staff in the search.

This doesn’t seem to work for me:

https://devforum.roblox.com/search?q=xbox%20group%3ARoblox_Staff

putting whatever before or after group:Roblox_Staff, either way, nothing shows up for me. Using ‘xbox’ as an example cause I know staff have said ‘xbox’ before.

This is because you are not allowed to view the group members of Roblox_Staff, e.g. DevRelationsTeam or moderators would work fine:

https://devforum.roblox.com/search?q=xbox%20group%3ADevRelationsTeam

https://devforum.roblox.com/search?q=xbox%20group%3Amoderators

DevRel has 33 people in it whereas the staff group has about a thousand. It wouldn’t be comprehensive enough to say for sure if staff spoke on a topic.

I’ve also historically found DevRel to be hit or miss with communication in public ways. Their work, like moderation, is often more internal and private. Yes, they do have public forum activity, but most usually for big topics.

Hearing from the people who make the features, being able to find that, is my use case.

Yes, I am just identifying the issue here. I imagine it works fine for Dogekidd2012 since he is TL4.
