So previously i had to reupload a bundle for accessory attachment fixes and it doesn’t show up on the relevance results on the catalog properly compared to the other color versions i have uploaded. I don’t know why it would since 1/3 of my bundle variants show up in the top of relevance results using the exact name of the bundle, and 2/3 of the bundle shows up at the top of recently created. Theres only one that doesn’t show up on the search results properly and I feel like it will affect my sales greatly. search results of “mini cutie” without any filters
When there are no filters applied, there’s no rule that says only the specific 3 bundles you uploaded named “cutie” must appear in the search results. So I haven’t quite understood your first screenshot — and therefore your first point — yet. There could be tons of items named “mini cutie” or containing that phrase in their description, so yeah, I don’t really get that part. It actually looks pretty intended to me.
As for the “recently created” section, sometimes it bugs out. So let’s say you upload multiple bundles — you’ll probably notice that some of them go all the way back in the list, even though you published them all at the same time to the marketplace. Roblox, for some reason — probably something related to rate limiting — ends up sorting some of them incorrectly or pushing them way back.
And when you search using your own username in the creator filter, of course the bundles you created will show up — that gives the most accurate result because everyone else is filtered out.
I think the real issue is more with how things are being listed under the “recently published” section.
The recently updated is definitely broken, however the thing that makes me think it is broken even on relevance is when the broken version wad first onsale it would show up in the very top, now that i have the fixed versions uploaded only 1/3 show up under the search “mini cutie”
I see the inconsistencies with the search results, it should show up but it does not, seems like a search result bug to me, where your item isnt going to the top.
I’d like to add that this bug not only happens with avatar bundles, but also happens to other categories of UGC (e.g. accessories, layered clothing) as well.
For example, I published all of these UGC in sequential order, yet the two of the items appear at the very bottom of the Recently Published search sort.
This bug acts as a “shadow-ban” on the affected items, as consumers are unable to search or discover the items through the Marketplace as they will always appear at the bottom of the results. It has been around for a while.
Using the individual item analytics feature, I am able to see the long-term ramifications on affected items. For example, the percentage of in-experience sales on affected items are always abnormally high compared to marketplace sales which should not be the case. Here, in-experience sales are 42% – but the usual split should be around 10% in-experience and 90% marketplace. This gives me a red flag that marketplace is not pushing these affected items in results.
