Example 1 (Writing+Storyline)
The year is 2054. The last of the living are stranded in the wasteland of a once beautiful rural town, now demolished and littered with debris. The countryside was the last habitable location on Earth. The rest of the world? Overrun by a new form of human. These mindless machines of metal and wiring were not made of the same flesh and blood that is mankind. Instead, they were an improved version of us. Smarter, faster, stronger. Their brains wired to technology, well, they are technology. The one thing that separated us from the rest of the animals was now being used as a weapon. There was no way to end this new era of machine, one could only endure it.
It began in 2030. The world’s most powerful companies, Amazon, Google, Apple, funded a project led by Dr. Daniel Harston. The first ever nano-processor was made to process Zettabytes in seconds. Costing nearly a quarter trillion dollars to manufacture, the nano chip Harston was producing was the most expensive individual piece of technology known to man. This chip could process more data in seconds than Google can in 100 years. A powerful device such as this is heavily sought by many, some of which are willing to go to extremes to get their hands on this piece of technology. In a fire caused by an unknown source, many believed the processor had been lost, as such a small piece of technology would easily be consumed in flames. That was the end of a new age of technology, 15 years of work and nearly half a trillion dollars had been lost, and it was never spoken of again.
This was, until, a strange news-story came around about a new robot, developed by Melanie Sanchez, a former employee of Harston. This robot, seen as a very valuable piece of the military to many countries, was fought for by many different nations. Asking for funding from the US government, Sanchez began mass producing these robots. In the span of 20 years nearly 1000 of the now-war machines were created and deployed around the US and other countries, putting the US far ahead as a high political power.
Sanchez, realizing that her creation was being used to evoke fear in the rest of the population, tried to put a stop to the deployment of the machines. She pulled the plug on the manufacturing of all of her creations, and stopped the service for relaying information to and from the robots. In this, the robots not only stopped following the orders of the government, but went completely haywire. Any person they saw would be exterminated. With 1000s of these machines now destroying humanity, there was little to be done to stop them from tearing the Earth to shreds.
Back in the present, realizing that there was no way to defeat these robots other than by destroying them from the core, the group realizes they must find a way to reverse-engineer a new receiver to revert the robots back to their original state. Not having the technology to do so, the group travels back to New-York to find the old headquarters and recover the drone. Along the way, they realize it is a perilous journey, as most of the region was covered with these war robots and drones, becoming more powerful near the hearth. By finding stations and destroying drones, the team is able to create technology to overpower the machines and stop the attack.
Example 2-Gameplay Ideas
The players are driving in a car to their destination.
They receive a flashback that reveals bits and pieces of how the outbreak began.
They are attacked by drones as they are driving, and have to fight for their lives and use the pieces they find to re-build their car.
The car doesn’t seem to start again, so they camp out in the woods. When they wake, they realize the forest surrounding them is on fire. They escape, but find themselves alone in a desert.
Finding parts, they use them to create weapons.
They use these weapons to fight drones and other enemies.
As they fight more drones, they get more parts, and eventually get enough to rebuild their car and drive to an airport. At the airport, it is over-run by robots, but they need to get to a plane to get to New-York. Again, gathering pieces, they gather pieces and rebuild the plane and take-off. At New-York, they have a series of challenges getting to the headquarters, and once they are there they realize that Dr. Harston is still alive, and he is the one controlling the robots.
They attempt to defeat him, but fail. He escapes, and the players are left to continue growing their resources and attempt to fight him again.
This continues until the players finally defeat him with max-level items, which allows them to beat the game.
Availability
I am available for up to 6 hours a day on weekends, and sometimes weekdays.
Payment
I don’t have any set payments, because the work can vary greatly.
