Foretown Water Treatment Plant | Official In-game Guidelines
These rules are expected to be followed and will be enforced by the Department of Justice [DOJ].
We use a strict 2-strike policy, which means you can only cause 1 issue. However, strikes are given out by severity, and each rule carries a different weight. Be aware that warnings can and will stack, adding onto your total final charge.
Example: If you impersonated staff (2 warnings) and ignored CG (2 warnings), it would total 4 warnings, which is past the 2-warning limit, meaning you would be kicked.
| Charges | Final Action |
|---|---|
| 1 Warning | Formal Warn |
| 2 Warnings | Kick |
| 5 Warnings | Ban (A) |
| 6 Warnings | Ban (P) |
1. Obstruction (1)
- Blocking any sort of area that people walk through and is open access to the public is obstruction.
- This includes the entrance, walkways, tunnels, and rooms everyone has access to.
- Exception: FPS verifying PV, and Factions or teams guarding a restricted area they are allowed in but others are not.
2. Chat and Microphones (1)
- Spamming in chat, disrespect, and racism are strictly prohibited.
- This includes in-game text chat, Voice Chat (VC), avatar customization, custom signs, etc.
- Mic spamming and bass-boosted microphones must be kept to an absolute minimum.
- While we respect freedom of speech, we also care about the hearing and fairness of all players.
- Do not play music through microphones.
- This can cause major legal issues regarding copyright. Additionally, try not to get too aggressive or use explicit language, as Roblox will automatically revoke your microphone privileges.
3. Vehicles (1)
- Do not spam-spawn vehicles.
- Doing so causes major server lag and will result in an immediate ban.
- Do not drive any vehicles onto land or onto unauthorized islands.
- Do not shoot at teammate vehicles.
- This counts as friendly fire, and you can be warned by the Coast Guard (CG) for doing so.
4. Trespass (2)
- Entering unauthorized areas will result in a warning for trespassing.
- Do not go into locations you are not explicitly allowed to access.
- Glitching into restricted areas (or glitching at all) is prohibited.
- This can result in two separate warnings simultaneously (one for glitching, one for trespassing).
- Spawn killing falls under trespass.
- Shooting at another team’s spawn counts as trespass.
5. Abuse (3)
- This involves any sort of abuse from Cuff Abuse to Power Abuse.
- This includes using your rank or team as a power play method to get what you want or enter an area you aren’t supposed to be in.
- Trying to force someone to allow you to enter or using intimidation will be considered abuse.
- This will result in concurrent warnings for Abuse and Trespass.
- This rule applies to all teams, including CG and DOJ.
- Your powers are given for you to do your duties—do not stretch them.
6. Conspiracy (3)
- Any form of fabrication or false reports will result in a warning for conspiracy.
- This includes making up reports because someone you don’t like is playing the same game or something similar.
- This also includes reporting someone without clear evidence or making heavy accusations.
- Any misuse of mod calls or CG notifications will result in a warning for conspiracy.
- Any sort of bribery or lobbying falls under conspiracy.
- Example: Someone got a warning and instead of going through the appeal system, asks a moderator directly to unban them in exchange for something else.
- If a user bribes DoJ and it is unsuccessful, the user will receive a warning for conspiracy. If the user bribes DoJ and it is successful, both the user and the DoJ member will be removed and warned for Circumventing.
7. Coast Guard (2)
- The Coast Guard (CG) serves as the law enforcement side of FWTP.
- They can and will enforce the in-game roleplay rules for the Foretown Water Plant.
- The CG has the authority to warn you for breaking roleplay rules.
- Note: They are not game moderators. They cannot enforce core game rules—only the Department of Justice (DOJ) can.
- Coast Guards have distinct, recognizable vehicles.
- If a CG officer instructs you to stop or pull over, you must comply. Failure to listen will result in a warning for evading and eluding.
8. Impersonation (4)
- Impersonating the Department of Justice (DOJ) will result in an immediate ban from FWTP.
- Impersonating the Coast Guard (CG) will result in an immediate ban from FWTP.
- This includes falsely claiming past membership (e.g., saying “I used to be in the Coast Guard” when you were not). Doing this counts as impersonation and results in 2 warnings.
- Impersonating other factions or pretending to be in an official faction will result in a warning for impersonation.
- Factions can have similar duties to another faction or an official faction, but cannot share the same name.
9. Circumventing (5)
- Bypassing any sort of moderation action will result in an instant 5th warning.
- Bypassing CG or DOJ in any way will cause them to assume you are a criminal, leading to action ranging from 2 to 5 warnings depending on severity.
Note: All rules here are subject to change, so check back regularly. DOJ can and will enforce these rules even if a specific scenario isn’t explicitly detailed here. The final action rests with CG and DOJ—they have the final say. If you feel you have been mistreated or facing an injustice, you may report the user to their higher ranks.
