The new Forums feature for communities is really cool and will be a great replacement of the wall. There are some things that I think should be added before it is fully release to enable it’s full potential.
Being able to manage permissions per-category would be helpful, for example if I had a category titled “updates” that only developers can create posts on, but players can comment that would be great. Unfortunately right now if I make it so a role can create posts, they can create posts under any category. This would be a great on-site way for developers to interact with their community and get feedback about updates in a clearer way.

Due to the lack of this feature, having an “announcements” category is basically pointless as of right now; the best you can do is either pin whatever the most recent announcement is (and accept that the rest of the category may be flooded with posts from regular users) or just politely ask your community members not to post there. Neither of these are ideal, so +1 from me!
