I’m trying to use community forums for update logs/read-only posts and I figured that I could do something like this by using category permissions and a post that users can subscribe to for comment notifications.
But it doesn’t seem like subscribed users are notified if they don’t have (I’m assuming) posting permissions. I’m not sure if this is intended behavior but it does notify on non-category permissions comment posts.
