[FREE] RoAgent - AI Roblox Studio Agent (Claude & Codex)

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:

I’m DoubleNotSus! I’m excited to introduce RoAgent, an AI development assistant built specifically for Roblox Studio.

Instead of constantly copying scripts between Roblox Studio and an AI platform, RoAgent connects directly to your experience. You describe what you want to create, and RoAgent can inspect your existing project, write code live, place everything where it belongs, and playtest the feature inside Roblox Studio.

Every account receives 250 free actions each month, with no card required.

What is RoAgent?

RoAgent is an AI-powered development environment designed around Roblox development.

You can give it a request such as:

Create a daily rewards system that saves the player’s streak and displays the next available reward in a UI.

RoAgent can then:

  • Read your game’s current scripts and structure
  • Create or modify scripts
  • Add services, folders, events, and other instances
  • Connect new features with your existing systems
  • Start a playtest inside Roblox Studio
  • Interact with interfaces and simulate player input
  • Capture screenshots during testing
  • Detect problems and attempt to fix them
  • Show you the changes before you approve them

Our mission is to create something that creates code, tests it and produces a final product without bugs. Not just to generate a half broken script.

RoAgent is designed to handle more of the actual development process, from the original idea to a tested feature inside your experience.

See It in Action

In this example, RoAgent is asked to create a daily reward system and UI that allows users to claim one reward per day for seven days.

Since this demo video was recorded, we have fixed many bugs, including any issues shown in the video.

It reads the existing experience, creates the necessary scripts and instances, starts a playtest, verifies that the feature works, and then presents the completed changes for review.

Built Around Your Existing Game

One of the biggest problems with using general AI chatbots for Roblox development is that they normally cannot see the full context of your project.

You may have to manually paste multiple scripts, explain your Explorer structure, and repeatedly update the AI whenever something changes.

RoAgent connects directly to Roblox Studio and can understand parts of your experience such as:

  • Explorer hierarchy
  • Existing scripts
  • Services
  • ModuleScripts
  • RemoteEvents and RemoteFunctions
  • User interfaces
  • Instance properties
  • Current project structure

This helps RoAgent make changes that fit into your existing game instead of treating every request like a completely new project.

Playtesting with AI

RoAgent does not have to stop once the code has been written.

It can start a Studio playtest and perform actions such as:

  • Clicking buttons
  • Simulating player input
  • Checking interface behavior
  • Capturing screenshots
  • Verifying changes in game state
  • Detecting errors
  • Fixing failed implementations
  • Running the test again

This can help identify problems before you publish an update.

Review Changes Before Applying Them

RoAgent shows you the changes it wants to make before they are finalized.

You can ask RoAgent to change the generated code and approve or reject the changes. This gives developers more control than allowing an AI assistant to silently modify an entire project.

You should still review and test AI-generated work before using it in a live experience.

Use Claude or ChatGPT

RoAgent works with supported Claude and ChatGPT plans.

Instead of charging an additional markup for every AI token, RoAgent handles the Roblox-specific parts of the workflow, including:

  • Studio synchronization
  • Project context
  • Code changes
  • Playtesting
  • Screenshots
  • Change reviews

Your Roblox project code is processed locally and is not stored on RoAgent’s servers.

RoAgent Cloud

We are also developing RoAgent Cloud, which will allow you to send development requests from your phone, tablet, or web browser.

For example, while away from your computer, you could send a request such as:

Add a new sword to the shop and set its price to 500 coins.

RoAgent Cloud is being designed to let you:

  • Send development requests from your phone
  • Access RoAgent through a web browser
  • Make changes while away from your computer
  • Review RoAgent’s progress remotely
  • Approve or manage project changes on the go

RoAgent Cloud is currently in development, and its beta will be released soon.

More information about beta access will be announced in the future.

Free Plan

Every RoAgent account currently includes:

  • 250 free actions every month
  • No credit card required
  • Access to the RoAgent desktop application
  • Access to the connected Roblox Studio plugin
  • Support for compatible Claude or ChatGPT plans
What counts as an action?

An action is an individual operation performed by RoAgent.

For example, an action may include:

  • Reading an instance or script
  • Creating an instance or script
  • Editing a script
  • Changing a property
  • Interacting with a playtest
  • Capturing information from Studio

The exact number of actions used will depend on the size and complexity of the request.

The free plan is intended to let developers properly test RoAgent and build smaller features before deciding whether they need a larger action limit.

Getting Started

  1. Visit roagent.ai
  2. Download RoAgent Studio
  3. Install the included Roblox Studio plugin
  4. Sign in with a supported Claude or ChatGPT account
  5. Open your Roblox experience
  6. Describe what you want RoAgent to build

RoAgent is currently available for Windows.

We are actively working on support for macOS. We are also in the process of getting the Windows application digitally signed to reduce security warnings during installation.

Until then, you can visit our download page and view the linked VirusTotal scan, which currently shows 0 security detections.

What Can You Build?

RoAgent can assist with systems such as:

  • Data saving
  • Shops and inventories
  • Daily rewards
  • Rebirth systems
  • Round systems
  • Admin systems
  • User interfaces
  • Leaderboards
  • Developer products and game passes
  • Bug fixes
  • Code organization and refactoring
  • Connections between existing systems

It can also explain existing code and help locate problems inside larger projects.

The quality of each result will still depend on your request, the selected AI model, and the complexity of your experience.

Feedback

This is RoAgent’s first introduction on the Developer Forum, and I would really appreciate feedback from Roblox developers.

I’m especially interested in hearing about:

  • Features you would like RoAgent to support
  • Tasks it handled successfully
  • Tasks where it made mistakes
  • Installation or Studio synchronization problems
  • Improvements that would make it more useful for real development workflows

Feel free to reply with questions, suggestions, bug reports, or examples of what you created using RoAgent.

Why should one use this over the built in Assistant (which I use neither)

That’s a fair question. RoAgent gives developers another option with support for different AI providers, and we are building it beyond just a Studio assistant. It can build features, launch playtests, interact with UI, capture screenshots, verify results, and retry fixes when something fails. We’re also currently developing RoAgent Cloud, which will let you work on your experience from your phone or anywhere on the go. We’re also working on training own Roblox-focused models to improve results specifically for Roblox development.

This looks cool and all, but why would I opt to use this over the native Studio MCP that comes bundled out of the box? It already provides me access to Code, UI, etc with integrations in my existing coding agent tooling. The MCP even offers Playtest capabilities. Just looking to better understand the benefit RoAgent provides over the already existing tools.

You can easily connect Claude / Codex to the built-in engine MCP system. You’re just either wanna fetch users information or subbed to Claude and or Codex and the first AI sycho u got is making a software that can be simply debunked by an MCP connection thro any of the Brand Providers Platforms.

We don’t fetch any user information. Please educate yourself before speaking on topics you know nothing about.

Could you potentially answer the “How is this better than the default MCP” concern then? Two different users have mentioned this and you skipped it both times. This would help others from making baseless accusations in the future.

Man, I think this would have worked really well before Roblox implemented a native option that’s more suitable for the closed sandbox environment. Having this managed by another, still little-known user could raise suspicion among many users. Still, it’s a good project. I hope it keeps getting updates. But I don’t plan to move away from the native solution unless there are unusually strong advantages.

We’ve already explained, our agent has subagent capabilities and infrastructure that the native option doesn’t support.

I appreciate it. I’m not too little-known. I have over 1 million followers/subscribers on both TikTok and YouTube and verified on both platforms along with owning a few games myself.

Your implementation does nothing outside of what the native MCP can do. Subagents aren’t specific to MCPs, they’re specific to the Agentic Coding platform of choice. In your example of linking Claude or Codex subscriptions, both of these already handle subagent work and have native integration with Studio through Roblox’s provided MCP.

I am asking what yours does differently or better to justify why I as a user might want to switch.

Please refer to other questions we’ve answered. We’ve answered this question already.

This is exactly what a Codex / Claude connected to Roblox Studio MCP can currently do.

On the subagent part, both models with their own tooling can already make their own subagents. They can also call the explore and playtest subagents handled by Roblox Assistant.

Multiedits, screenshot analysis, verifying results, iterating on errors, that’s exactly what Codex & Claude Code are built for. Those tools have cheap monthly rates compared to its api usage, and a large team and resources in case any downtime occurs.

In what scenario would it make more sense to use your product over the established harnesses?

That’s not what I was saying, but jumping straight into that as an answer concerns me alot. I’d skip this.
