Frequent network latency (MS) spikes causing client freezes across all Roblox experiences

I am experiencing frequent network latency (MS) spikes that cause the Roblox client to freeze for a brief moment before recovering.

This issue occurs across every Roblox experience I have tested and is not limited to a specific game or server. During the freeze, the in-game performance stats show an “MS Spike”. The game then resumes normally after the latency returns to normal.

This issue only occurs in Roblox. Other online games do not experience similar latency spikes or freezes on the same connection.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch the Roblox desktop application.
  2. Join any Roblox experience.
  3. Play normally for several minutes.
  4. Randomly, the network latency (MS) spikes significantly.
  5. Gameplay freezes briefly before recovering.

Frequency:

  • Happens consistently across multiple Roblox experiences.
  • Not tied to a specific experience or creator.

System Information:

  • Operating System: windows 10
  • Platform: Roblox Desktop App
  • Connection: Wired Ethernet
  • Other online games do not exhibit this behavior.
  • Ryzen 5 5600x
  • 16GB memory
  • AMD RX 5600XT

Visual Aids:
A video demonstrating the issue is attached. The performance overlay shows the MS Spike at the moment the gameplay freezes.

Expected behavior

Network latency should remain stable during gameplay. The client should not experience sudden MS spikes that cause gameplay to freeze across all Roblox experiences.
