Frequent platform crashes whenever player count per server exceeds ~200 players on our game

Our game has been having consistent server crashes (roughly 56 today) labelled as Platform crashes.

This specifically happens under place ID 87212936258052, but we’ve also noticed them occurring in our server browser (place ID 116439795953639)

Our game has also experienced this. I don’t believe it to be tied to user count, but it does seem to be a problematic spike that went as high as 830 (and counting).

Our game is experiencing this as well.

This started happening in my game too, even in places where people are briefly.

I have a new and relatively simple game… And have noticed these are the first crashes to be seen… I wonder what’s happening here ?

Leaving an update. It is now significantly worse and we’ve apparently had 14,609 servers crash on July 31st. (August 1st just started 4 hours ago, so the issue is still ongoing)

Still an unresolved issue. We’ve noticed less server crashes once we lowered our artificial player max to 180, but we’re still getting lots of reports of server crashes via the Dashboard, regardless.

Hello everyone!

We recently had an issue with out telemetry miss-reporting crashes for games that did not crash.
We’re really sorry for the confusion, but rest assured that these crashes were not real and simply a reporting error.

If you see a sustained spike in the future please let us know, but otherwise this was a one-off event that does not reflect actual server crash events.

Thanks!

That’s a relief!

Are you absolutely sure this is the case? I had a look at my server manager and found a lot of crashes around that time with specific servers. None of them showed up in my crashes page for anything besides Platform Crashes.

I’m very pleased to hear that this isn’t an actual issue. My charts have dropped to 0 since then.
