Recently, the Roblox Website has been having long term problems including loading players status, whether being online/in a game, as well as a ton of rate limits. Not only has this been extremely inconvenient, but it has also made the website page unusable. It’s been incredibly unclear on what has been causing this to happen as it’s been having problems for almost a month now. Hope these issues can be resolved! (images below for examples)
Let me know if any other further information needs to be provided in order to help! Thanks.
The next time this happens on web, could you take a screenshot of the browser console and network tab? This may help us narrow down where the rate limiting behavior is coming from.
Are you using a VPN or connecting to the Roblox from a shared internet connection (e.g. library, cafe, school, etc)?
This bug has been happening 24/7 for almost a month now, it hasn’t fixed itself nor has it shown anything different and no, I’m not using any shared internet connection.
If you could please further explain what kind of screenshots you’re looking for I’d be pleased to send them over, just want to make sure I’m not accidentally sending any of my cookies.
Yeah good point. Temporarily moving to a private messages to avoid accidentally sharing sensitive information in a public topic. I’ll continue to post updates in this thread for other folks who are tuned in.
You just have to use mouse button and right click anywhere when you are on a Roblox page. Right click and click on inspect. Go to Application (if it does not show it, then go to a random tab like Memory or Network and click on the plus and it should show 2 options or something and one of them should be the application tab) and then look at local storage. Under local storage, you should see a URL like link or something that is under local storage even though link doesn’t work and then right click on it, clear option should show up and then left click on that option. Don’t worry, this will not log you out of your account on the website. I had this exact issue before. (Well uhh in local storage if you get confused with under local storage.)
The team recently shipped a patch to fix presence when localstorage is full. If the root cause of @EvadingTerms issue is also full localstorage, then the patch may have resolved this issue.
