Fully Flared Turkey Tail particles were removed

When the addition to the Roblox gift card item “Fully Flared Turkey Tail” was released it was released with a particle effect, now it was removed and the thumbnail and 2D view was messed up now.

Item with the effect (credits to Lilygia, from her video on twitter with the effect shown)

This item should be restored with the particles and needs a fix to the thumbnail.

Item where it stands now.

Expected behavior

This item should have its particles fixed and put back on, and should’ve never had it removed to begin with. It also needs a fix with the thumbnail and restored completely to how it was when it was uploaded. Please fix this item that we all loved the particles to.

There has been a drought in particle items as a whole lately, just wondering if we could possibly get an explanation for this as many people love items with these unique property’s but it seems Roblox has completely stopped uploading them.

The image on the costco website shows that this item is supposed to have particles and without them this is misleading. People will see the particles and purchase thinking it has the feathers but they will be disapointed that it does not.

Thank you for reporting this. The thumbnail is now fixed.

Thanks for the fix on thumbnail, BUT, I also reported that the particle effect was gone when its supposed to be there when its creation. This should not be marked as fixed as the particles aren’t restored onto the item. I want a fix in the item particles just as much as it’s thumbnail, its even listed in my report.

Also quoted here in my initial report on restoring the effect of the item. And if you read my topic post which was literally named “Fully Flared Turkey Tail particles were removed”

This item was meant to be a gift card redemption item starting April 1st, which is either tomorrow or some time today (depending on which part of the world you’re in). We released this item on Friday for testing (and not for sale), and removed the particles on Saturday, after realizing they should not be there to begin with. We suspect some folks may have gotten a hold of this item before we removed the particles, hence the misunderstanding.

Hope this clears it up!

Then just to be clear, you’ve removed the particles for “testing” purposes, but even on the website that the item is from it clearly has particles added. But, you went ahead and removed them to “test” it for which future item? These particles were clear and set for this item, and if we’re solely going based off that then people who took a look on the website that the item is posted on it’d be misleading to the consumer who bought with the intent for the effect alone. This should be fixed, there was no testing of said item, this was meant to have a particle effect and should be put back on. Will this also happen with the “Calico Corn Head” as well since it could also be deemed as “testing”?

It seems possible roblox is trying to phase them but not outright remove old ones. Items that used to be common particles items are notably lacking. Combined with the point light removal, and its backlash, it seems possible they are being phased out.

As @clownnemo mentioned, these items are marketed with particles on Costco’s website. Considering players often buy gift cards in advance for upcoming items, isn’t it a problem to tell customers their purchase includes a particle item when it doesn’t?

The Costco website has been updated to remove the particles from the Fully Flared Turkey Tail and Calico Corn Head, after being marketed with particles since the end of February. Are there any plans to make this right for people who pre-purchased gift cards for the particle items?

Well you ask me, this whole thing is a bunch of nonsense. The particles were here for a reason, and even shown on the Costco website a month in advanced to be so. Hopefully, if they can at least change this one back to how it was it’d at least be better.
