Does anyone know why it is printing “new” when the child.Name and plr.Name is the exact same thing?

That’s because strings are truthy values. You have an or “Route1” or “Route2” which is basically or true or true. The statement therefore will always be true.
So then is there any way to check if the name is not that text either?
Just as or object.Name ~= “Name” for each name you want to avoid. ~= translates to “anything but”.
