Describe the issue:
It appears that having a variable refresh-rate when enabling G-sync through the NVIDIA Control Panel causes Roblox Studio app to lag. This lag includes large jittering motion when moving the Roblox Studio window, large jittering and delayed camera in studio when moving around and buttons not responding to clicks immediately.
Expected behavior
With G-sync enabled I have not experienced any issues with Roblox Player App itself, the same for other steam games. This issue seems to only affect the Roblox Studio App after the update happening on Wednesday.
Steps I have tried:
Updated my windows 11 to 25H2,
Updated all NVIDIA graphic drivers and turned of NVIDIA overlay through NVIDIA App
Turn off G-sync, G-sync compatible for the monitor through the NVIDIA Control Panel
Turned refresh rate from 165Hz to 60 Hz
Turning off G-sync solved the issue temporarily but this is not a good solution as many games benefit from using G-sync.
Hello. I am also experiencing this issue on my Asus XG27ACG.
This only seems to happen on the studio start page and in edit mode if you have a plugin like rojo open which is really odd.
Windows 11 OS build: 26220.7051
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G (12) @ 4.45 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER @ 2.10 GHz
Memory: 15.34 GiB
Hi again. Today I have not experienced this issue even when turning on G-Sync. It could be the case with Rojo plugin that @krampuszc mentioned. I don’t think I have touched the plugin. It is hard to replicate, but hopefully this does not happen anymore. Do I keep this thread open incase any more information pops up?
Could it also be that the G-Sync setting got set back to only full screen instead of full screen and windowed (that happened to me when I turned it off).
I am still experiencing this issue. I am not sure if this helps but I also got a microprofiler capture. I have uploaded it here
Turning off GSYNC has also massively increased my Studio performance. I’m running 4K with an RTX 4090. For the last few days, a baseplate frame time is around 12ms. After turning off GSYNC, it’s at 4ms. My Windows version is 10.0.26200 Build 26200.
