Game-Breaking Exploitative UGC Emotes

I want to bring urgent attention to a growing trend of UGC emotes being marketed and sold as exploits. While these emotes may or may not technically violate the written guidelines, their functionality makes them highly concerning and, in practice, game-breaking.

The most popular emotes in recent weeks are ones that intentionally disrupt gameplay. These include emotes that make a player fully invisible or extremely tiny, emotes that allow them to fling other players across the map, and emotes that let them glitch through walls or move at unnatural speeds. These are not harmless cosmetic animations—they are exploitative tools that create an unfair environment and severely hinder normal gameplay in both casual and competitive experiences.

The concerning part is that these items are not obscure. They have skyrocketed in popularity, gaining massive numbers of favorites and topping sales charts. If left unmoderated, creators stand to earn enormous sums (hundreds of thousands of USD combined) from these exploitative mechanics. Beyond the financial implications, their success incentivizes more creators to push similar items, flooding the marketplace with unfair, broken content.

I believe these emotes are exploitative by nature and a major detriment to gameplay integrity. I am submitting this report in the hope that engineers will urgently review and determine them to be against the rules, so they can be removed immediately before more players, developers, and the platform as a whole are harmed.

Affected items are attached privately. @CalGamesDev

Expected behavior

These items should be reviewed, and moderated accordingly to prevent Roblox from turning a blind eye to them and deleting them in later months, where they’ll lose tens of thousands of dollars in refunds.

I have also seen quite a few of these across the marketplace, and when paired with clothing items it can obscure view or be used to phase through walls entirely.

this is a risk not only for intended game design but causes flashing colors which is a risk for light sensitive players.

heres some emotes which exceed the UGC bounds and/or use this glitch:

CalGamesDev deleted a bunch of these already, but keep posting any if you find them. Here’s another abusing this exploit and makes thousands of $$$. /e fling (works in every game) - Roblox

This one actually stays in the stud limit and does nothing sir

It moves extremely fast and bypasses the 1 stud per frame validation requirement set in place by Roblox. This definitely IS against the TOS.

Doesn’t matter what it does, engineers choose the restrictions for a reason and you aren’t supposed to use exploits to purposely get around them.

it doesnt even do anything it just looks a bit freaky

various fixes have been put in to stop different types of exploitative emotes from getting onto Roblox. It should not be possible to get any new emotes onto Roblox which exhibit the issues covered in this thread

This is great and all, but will there be purges for existing ones? Nothing is truly fixed here if creators that did abuse the loopholes to upload exploitative emotes (some of which now have 100K+ favorites) are not punished, and their emotes are left up to be continually abused in experiences.

If you can let me know which emotes you’re concerned about I can pass them on to the right people and they can decide whether they want to take them down

They were listed in the PM attached to this message. If you didn’t have permission, I’ve just added you manually:

Emotes in the private message are being reviewed and we will decide which (if any) should be removed at this time
