basically, i’ve had the game open since like yesterday, and i’ve SEEN the autosaves folder fill up
i’ve even USED one of them to restore my progress, but suddenly they’re all gone??? like, there’s no way that suddenly my roblox studio crashes, i’ve SEEN it create multiple autosaves during this time in the output and i really don’t know what to do . i’ve been stressing out over this becuase i just lost about a day and a half’s worth of work.
i’ve tried looking here for answers but i cannot find a single folder called “recentsaves” on my pc, and in my autosaves the most recent thing i have is from 6/23/2025, i dont know where all of them could’ve went but i really want to not believe that they’re all gone.
its a local copy, i havent published it to roblox yet
i found out that roblox deletes autosaves for some reason so i’m working to just redo what i had sadly
i’m pretty sure it doesn’t auto delete. each time there’s an autosave it prompts you to either: open it, ignore or delete. either you deleted them or roblox auto-deleted it somehow
yea, it does. im pretty sure they auto delete unless studio crashes, and even then, it sometimes all gets deleted anyway.
i’ve dealt with this before, and when i searched up what i could do to recover my work, i got nothing.
there was a comment, though, that said something like “get into the habit of saving to roblox often” and that comment had me so upset. i was thinking “OBVIOUSLY im going to do that now, but how do i get my stuff back!” but i probably wouldnt have picked up that habit without that comment, even with the deletion happening to me.

it’s sad that we even have to do that, and it makes no sense that the autosaves work the way they do, but yeah, pick up that habit, and i’m very sorry for your loss. don’t let this discourage you!
