[Game Feedback] Mining Quest [Pt. 2]

Hi everyone!

I’ve been working on a new game called Mining Quest, and I would love to get some feedback.

Instead of the classic “click and wait” simulator approach, I wanted to make the core mining loop more engaging with a reaction based minigame and a structured progression system.

Some of the core features include:

  • Interactive Mining: A reaction-based minigame for mining ores. The difficulty scales dynamically based on the ore’s rarity.
  • Progression System: An Exp/Leveling system tied to ore rarity, with strict area level-gating and pickaxe tier requirements. (kinda implemented but missing more areas to fully work)

Specifically, I am looking for feedback on:

  • Gameplay Loop: Is the mining minigame engaging enough after multiple attempts?
  • General: Any bugs, glitches, or “quality of life” features you think are missing.

Here is a quick video showcasing the core mechanics: https://youtu.be/B53kfp27Xow

And here is the link to test the game yourself: - Mining Quest | Play on Roblox

Take in mind that the Ui is not polished AT ALL, im new to the ui and im struggling to find a style to follow, but i’m sure i’ll finish it one day. And im still missing all the icons for ores and pickaxes.

Any feedback, constructive criticism, or suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you for your time!

The current pacing feels too slow. It would be better to increase the rotation speed and introduce a variable speed system, where the speed gradually ramps up and then stabilizes. When the player clicks at the right moment, they should receive a bonus reward. Additionally, a combo system should be introduced so that consecutive actions build momentum and encourage player focus and engagement.

Item acquisition should not interrupt or occupy the player’s UI time, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted flow. Lastly, the sound effects (SFX) should be adjusted, as they currently lack the feel of mining and need stronger impact and feedback.

Thank you so much for taking the time to playtest and leave such detailed feedback! These are exactly the kind of insights I was looking for.
