So i have been working on this update for my game Stay Up (an obby) and i now want some feedback, you can find the changes in the description also the game has been moved so some things may be bugged or not working. If you find anything not working please tell me.
I primarily need feedback on level design + bugs, i am aware when you spawn after a while you teleport head first into the ground and i have tried fixing this but nothing works.
p.s please actually leave feedback if you play instead of just playing then leaving not giving any feedback even if its just saying ‘this is good’ ‘this is good’ ‘this if…alright’ ‘this is bad’ ‘this is good’ etcetcetc
The pacing of the obby is very good. Whenever you find a harder stage you don’t quit.
The levels follow a kind of patter when there will be hard levels in between easy ones. This is terrific game design, giving you breaks in between hard levels makes you stay calm and motivated. Whenever found a hard level I wouldn’t leave because I had already done so much.
The settle themes for levels are nice.
There was one level where I was having issues. Stage 50 by far the hardest level for me, most likely because I was trying to brute force it. However I think that having a hard challenge at the end is a good idea but make sure it isn’t frustrating. I couldn’t find any bugs other then they mentioned.
Game may need some more polish, but in its currant state, it stands as a great obby.
One of the better obbies I have played, keep it up.
Side note when I was testing the developer joined the game, they clearly care about the game because they stack around until I finished all 50 stages.
Considering most of the players that will play this are on mobile, the jumps seem difficult for it was mobile controlled. For example, the red and black checkered kill parts way too small, and the the balls you jump on way too small too, as well some other parts of the obby being very thin.
Also, your UI is ugly - but in conclusion this is a dry game, just like all the obbies.
