Game gets banned upon joining or opening Studio even after successful appeals

My game “variable utilities (2.6.5)” (game ID 105944187445070) and its sequel, which was set to private, Variable Utilities 2 (ID 81470899641152) have been banned for Misusing Roblox Systems multiple times over the past 2 weeks. The only reason I could see for this is it’s similarity to another game named “random tool”, which was removed from Roblox in May this year. This game has not had any moderation at any point before this.

Although the game is open about being inspired by “random tool”, and does have some similar aspects, they are only some of the core features of the game. There are also many games such as item asylum, Ohio Tools, and Random Tool But Bad, who are also very similar that are still available.

After successfully appealing Variable Utilities and Variable Utilities 2 for the first time, upon reopening the game in Roblox Studio, the games are removed again for the same reason, “Misusing Roblox Systems”. Also, after the appeal for Variable Utilities specifically, just a few minutes playing the game also ended in being kicked and the game banned again.

The only current open report is one submitted through to the Appeals email, which as of now has not seen a response. Both games have been successfully appealed twice (Variable Utilities 2 is the Aug. 18, 2026 11:53AM, Aug. 19, 2026 7:49PM, and Aug. 20, 2026 2:56PM violations, and variable utilities (2.6.5) is the other two).

Any sort of troubleshooting is risky and near impossible, since my account gets banned for a day if I open the file at all, and it may be impossible to get back into it. I haven’t seen anyone else with this specific problem, especially in the case of other combat randomizer games. Even after a successful appeal, even opening the game gives a large amount of HTTP 403: Forbidden errors before the game gets banned again. Image below is from Variable Utilities 2 after the appeal was accepted, directly before the place closed and showed another ban for Abusing Roblox Systems.

Although the game isn’t that popular, I had been working on it consistently for a year as of the day it first got banned, and I would really like to continue work on the sequel. Any advice on if there’s a way to get out of this ban loop or any next steps I could take would be great!

The fact that the appeals are accepted and the game gets banned again almost immediately suggests that a specific asset, script or dependency may be retriggering automated moderation.

I would mainly check free models, packages, external ModuleScripts, require(assetId), InsertService and any assets taken from Random Tool. The 403 errors are also worth investigating although they do not prove that an asset caused the moderation.

Pretty much every asset seemed to be causing the 403 errors, something similar happened after I got a warning for an image and reopened Studio and I had to delete some sort of file to fix it. This time it only seems to be affecting these specific game files, as some other game’s I’ve made have loaded assets just fine.
Like I said in the post though, it’d be very difficult to actually get into the files to check any of these kinds of things, since pretty much interacting with them in any way that (I assume) would get the game checked by Roblox’s moderation systems would get the game banned.
