Game got moderated, can't find the asset and the game is down

Not that long ago, I got this moderation message:

And I’ve already tried trying to find this asset in studio, URLS anywhere, but I can’t find it, and my game is currently down and I cant republish it. What do I do?

It does not exist in the store or catalog, it should be generating an error in the console when you load your game? That might give you some clues to where it is at in your game.
If you can’t find through a simple text search of all your code, it might be obfuscated in some 3rd party script or model. It should also generate an error in the console window when you do a test run of your game in studio. Do you see any errors related to it there?

the only instance of it appearing in the console is at the very start of the output, but it doesnt seem to exist anywhere when i search for it

okay, it seems like the Asset ID is the Starting Place of the game (116671987432874), what do I do in this situation? I’ve already contacted support but its going to take a good while until they respond.

My guess is the game title or description. The warning says that automation found it, so change the name part of “YouTuber” to something else different. It’s possible that other people have posted games with titles like “Home address of YouTuber XYZ” or other dox type game and to deal with it en-mass , they just send warnings to anyone that has that key word “youtuber” in the game title or description somewhere. It’s also possible that since so many other games are using the same title, such as one I found right away named " [UPD :movie_camera:] Steal a YouTuber", one would ask why that one is not being moderated, so maybe it has fallen between the Ai cracks, no one knows really?

It’s also possible that the name has nothing to do with it and the Ai found something within your game itself that it thinks is “personal information”, could come from a 3rd party model for example.

1. Review the Offending Asset

Go to Roblox Studio or your Creator Dashboard and look up the asset with the ID:

116671987432874
  • Check for anything that might suggest:
    • A real person’s name or username
    • Real-world identifying info
    • The phrase “Steal a YouTuber” (which might have triggered automated moderation)

:warning: Even if your intent wasn’t harmful, words like “steal” and using names of YouTubers may be flagged automatically.

Yeah it’s a bummer, don’t think I have anything that could contain personal information, unless 20 YouTuber usernames count as that, or “Steal a YouTuber” is getting flagged like you said. Ofc It had to get automodded when my devlog video of it is getting 10s of thousands of views :sob:

Omg it is you I just saw your YouTube video :joy:
