Game Growth and Player Engagement

Howdy DevForum Members. I am currently having problems with growing my game. I have put 2 advertisements up and spent a decent amount of robux. And yet it doesn’t grow. I have been almost updating the game daily and I do have a little community. And I can see the game growing but I am just not good ad getting players to play. I have been adding things such as apartments where you can save up cash to max it out, buy weapons, and i been adding a story line and etc. Is there a way i can get players more engaged?

Game Link: Minimum Wage Job Experience - Roblox

Add a link to the game, otherwise, people can only give vague tips

Sorry about that. I’ll put the link now.

The game is just kinda confusing, I joined and didn’t know what to do… You also walk really slow, so I suggest adding sprinting (and maybe stamina just like gas station sim).

mainly though, the feel of the game is kinda weird, it feels like that GTA game where ur just lost on what you are supposed to do. I suggest going either towards the red color theme or bluish (red/orange theme like of gas station simulator, where everything feels isolated and “nostalgic”, like a nice little home with only your family and friends on the top of a hill) (blue theme as in futuristic, where blue isn’t exactly that important, but more of that crowded feel, where you are in a big city and everything just looks “clean”, like royal high for example)

lastly, you really need to hire a builder or something, the buildings look fine, but not for the style of the game, as it would fit more for one of those simulator games like bee swarm simulator, where the style is more cartoony and the color theme EXTREMELY bright

There is a speed fist in the store to go faster. And there is a help board on the map. But I could probably make it more simpler. I want the game to feel nostalgic. And I wanted the style of the game to be like that. I wanted it to be more of a blocky looking style.

Ohhhhhh a blocky style! ok, so 1st, change up the fist animation to be less fast, second, fist upgrades really arn’t a good idea, unless you are aiming for a simulator game. You should go check out the game “infinite auto-correct”, as I believe that would be of a similar style to what you want. a help board is DEFINITLY not going to work if its not big, bright, and easy to see. Your trash can and car looks fine, but its mainly that big blue block (which I assume is the office building) that ruins the game’s mood, what can I say? its a big blue block : P

The inside of the office building seems cool, but I suggest adding more floors and spacing the desks out, as currently it is EXTREMELY claustrophobic

basically, re-make the game while following the styles of “Infinite Auto-correct”, your trash can, your bench, the trees, and the cars.

Also make walking around easier I JUST noticed there was another area here /

Thank you so much for the suggestions. I will fix up a few things. And I am going for a nostalgic look a bit too. These suggestions helps a lot. Thank you so much.

No offense.
Starting from 10K a day is decent.
See if that’s your case.
Sorry, hard to start a business in 2022, eh?

I spent 800 on the first ad then 280 on the 2nd ad. I don’t have a big amount of robux.

Even getting a few players for that little amount of robux is pretty good. I suggest doing some commissions and stuff to earn robux for ads
