Game Icon Feedback

Hey Dev Forum!

A couple months back I did a little bit of icon design to try and strengthen my weakest point in developing, I did about 4 or 5 icons if I remember correctly. However today I am seeking feedback on my games icon as i realised when sponsoring the game has a very low CTR.

Any areas to improve on would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Pyxrien.

This isn’t bad at all.

A few possible areas of improvement might be:

  • Improved lighting / FX.
  • The text and text outline is a little blurry. Maybe work on adding fancier text that catches users’ attention more?
  • The white outline on top of the black and yellow part of the text might be too much. It almost looks like a part of the image was erased. Maybe get rid of that or try a different color that’s more of a complement to the green?
  • The background also appears to be a little blurry.

But all in all, this is a good start.

Everything looks good but the things that might need to be improved are. Colours Emojis and lighting needs improving. But anyway it looks great.

Great! Thank you for the response and feedback. I will take your suggestions into mind when designing a new logo! The background may appear blurry as I added a gaussian blur for effect which I may remove now in the next one now knowing it may give the wrong impression!

Overall, Thank you!

It looks really good!
The bold outline around everything is a little to thick, the background is kind of blurry, and you can see the pixels on some letter, bit it still looks hood! (as well as what @C_Sharper said).

Also this should go in #help-and-feedback:cool-creations

It’s a start to something put it does lack small elements and ideas that could be added to your design to make it more interesting.

The text ‘BLOX’ isn’t centered from my view you should try adding some extra serials around the corners and area, to feel in the empty spaces. I highly recommend adding a pickaxe and an image of blocks with the text placed on it acting like a sort of element, giving information on what your game is about.

I’ll add a black outline around the tools to match the text approach. There are many ways of receiving a low CTR have you tried adding proper elements to make it stand out. Right now, the icon isn’t providing that eye - caching look. All it shows is some text with the tools in the background. Perhaps include something players will click on. (E.g.)
