Game idea I need feedback on

I had an idea for a game called The Lost Ways(subject to change). So basically the game is a battle royale mixed with many survival elements. I’m not going to go too in depth on all of the features in the game but, it is based around primitive environments, weapons, and creatures. Many weapons and tools like the club and the hatchet would have to be crafted. Pretty much everything you use has to be crafted. You would have to maintain your well being(Thirst, hunger, temperature) while also thriving to be the last man standing. I was just wondering if you and others would play this game. Or maybe I should keep brainstorming. Thank you for taking your time to answer my question. Im not sure if telling other people on a developer forum about a game idea you have is such a smart thing to do but nonetheless, sounds like a great game

It’s a decent idea seems interesting If it’s enjoyable, I’ll play it, however, I find the idea your going for something quite similar it’s just you have different mechanics, it’s going to feature, but you added a twist to make the idea unique I’m assuming this is going to be something around earliest in history or something similar to that?

With different mechanics, mixing the two elements into one entire game this on a whole is decently a good game idea.

You have a lot that you can do with this, you just need to make the game play more interesting and have those feature elements placed into the actual game and you have many options you can give people to make meaning exploring, battling, and more. Having a “actual game play” would make the game stand out make it attractive and interesting to players.

If this is a battle royale with a perimeter that is shrinking, I feel like the concept seems a bit too busy. I feel like the survival elements like thirst, hunger, and temperature is just a bit much for a round based game. It’s alot to focus on when trying to not be killed by other players along with finding and crafting items. Crafting sounds neat. I would make it so the crafting is quick and easy to do so you aren’t slowed down.

I agree. I could tweak the crafting system a bit. Do you think if I made the map big and made the zones last a bit longer there wouldn’t be as much stress on the players?

You have to balance that with how many players there will be in a round. You don’t want a huge map where most of the round, you don’t see another player. This could lead to boredom and leaving before the end of the round. Also a map should be detailed and be interesting.
