Game Location Bug

If you look at my profile it says I’m at ArceusInator’s Camera Pointing Vehicles place. Its been like this for a few days, and fails to update when I join other games. I wish I could provide more info, but I really have no idea what is causing this.

This happens 100% of the time, regardless of how long its been since I last logged in.

Edit: It will now update to say that I’m playing a different game when I am, but once I leave that game it goes back to Camera Pointing Vehicles.

Yeah I’ve seen people on the all things roblox forums complaining about this. Hopefully somebody will find some repros.

Is this still happening? Look’s OK on my page

Yup, all fixed now. Yay!

@Nelson it still says your at that place xD

Ah… Yeah apparently its only half fixed then. It updated when I played The Mad Murderer, but then went back to saying I was at that old place. Huh.

Is it only with that specific game this happens, or have other users have gotten their location stuck on a different game?

@Nelson I just looked into this, it currently says you are still in that game: TimeOnline:3.18:42:45.7785191
Have you been in that game this long?

Haha nope. Probably my spent less than 5 minutes in there.

OK we fixed it for you. I want to test one more thing. Can you please change your password, we think there might be a rogue game client still saying you are there.

Please let me know after you change your password.

Thanks,
Tone

Erm… on my screen it still says I’m there.

Hm, ok, did you change your pw?

Sorry, I posted my response right before you edited. I just changed it and its fixed now. Thanks!!

This just started happening again when I played Apocalypse Rising. I decided to open up Fiddler and found that random requests to /Game/ClientPresence.ashx were being made (each saying that I was at Camera Pointing Vehicles). I decided to look into my process list and found this.
RobloxPlayerBeta.exe, but no game window.
Everything seems to be working fine now that I’ve ended that process. Thanks for that tip about the glitched game client Tone! I probably never would have checked the process list if you hadn’t said that.

So, for anybody else having this issue, just look for a random RobloxPlayerBeta.exe in your task manager’s ‘Processes’ tab.

ROFL, how often do you restart your computer?

Probably every three or four months… a few years ago the really important part of your computer that does all the stuff (I’m clueless when it comes to hardware) stopped working after I restarted it, and according to my Dad I almost lost all my files. Ever since then I’ve made a habit out of never restarting my computer. The only downside is that I probably have a couple billion windows updates that need to be applied.
