Game losing players after every update

Hi. ~1 month ago my game started getting players. Averaging at about 15 players at a time, which isn’t amazing but it used to be 0. Anyways, after that, I decided to push content updates adding new stages, new cosmetics & secrets, as I wanted to grow the game.

But it seems like every new update, the game gets less and less players? Over the last week, I’m lucky to find even 2 people on at once. Why could this be?

I didn’t remove anything, just added more content - I’ve made a devforum post before asking for feedback (which I’m yet to implement), but I didn’t see anything negative aside from some UI tweaks. What steps can I take to find out the cause?

One of my thoughts was school starting for some countries, but I didn’t think it would have such an impact, then again, I’m not sure.

I know school has a massive impact on some games. Especially smaller games where each player counts. So that very well could be that. It could be they found a different game more engaging. It could be that they aren’t following your game enough to notice the updates. Do you have a discord server where people can follow and make suggestions?

Yeah I have a discord but most users are probably <13 which is why they don’t notice it. I’m assuming it’s to do with school too then
