I don’t often play Roblox games, so my Continue category doesn’t change much. I do however notice that my game, Notoriety, sometimes is not there when I load the page. I am worried that this is impacting return visits if this is not intentional.
Here are two back-to-back screenshots (I didn’t play ANY games today, but see how this first one is missing Notoriety)
It only seems to happen to Notoriety. I suspect there may be some issue with the game. Some points to note regarding the game are:
It was taken down for over a year due to DMCA/legal issues, but has since been restored since Dec 2024.
It was transferred to a group from my individual account
It is (as of writing this post) only on the PC/console platforms, not mobile.
As for frequency, this happens enough for me to notice, but not every time. Maybe once or twice a day, I cannot say if I’ve determined any patterns at this point.
Expected behavior
I expect that my Continue sort should simply show the games I played in order of recency, and no game should disappear.
This happens to a lot of people. It is also common to see games that you once played reappear on your continue, despite not joining it. It’s annoying, but also something we have to accept. (I love Notoriety btw!!)
Correct, from my understanding in this case from the post above, Notoriety should definitely be the most recently played, I was just on it the day before.
The inconsistent appearance of some games in the Continue sort was due to a caching bug on our end. It has since been fixed. Please let me know if you continue to see this kind of strangeness.
Hello @ThanksMrGoose , it seems some users are reporting this issue again and wanted to check back on this bug report to see if it could be a reemerging issue. Location may be relevant and user reported this started about 5-7 days ago for them + a friend.
This is happening to me too, and I’ve noticed it with a few other underrated adventure games as well, such as Isle, A Nostalgic Game, and A Stereotypical Obby. It almost feels like Roblox is quietly suppressing certain games, because several of these titles went from around 1–2k CCU to under 500 very quickly. The sudden drop is really strange to see.
I’m still looking into it, and if the theory I’m testing ends up being correct, I’ll make a post about it myself.
What makes it even more suspicious is that it seems to be the same games consistently disappearing from the Continue tab, rather than random ones. That makes me think there’s something unusual going on behind the scenes.
As for Notoriety, it seems to be doing fine. It hasn’t appeared in my Continue tab for quite a while, but the situation still feels questionable on Roblox’s end, especially since you brought it up here. Now that the issue appears to be resolved for you, the game’s player count has recovered quickly, jumping from around 800 CCU to 5.7k.
