Game removed for "Illegal and Regulated Activities" - need input on gambling classificatio

My game “Drop Balls for Baddies” was removed under the Illegal and Regulated Activities standard, specifically flagged as simulated gambling. The core loop: spend in-game currency to drop a ball, receive a random baddie from a weighted pool (rarity tiers shown as odds, always guaranteed a reward, never a bust/zero outcome). Had around 400-500k visits.

I’m trying to understand where the actual line sits, since this looks structurally similar to disclosed paid random items (guaranteed reward, defined odds) rather than gambling (stake with chance of losing everything).

For reference, here’s a game with a nearly identical mechanic that’s been live for 3 months with 4.6M+ visits: Drop Balls For Brainrots | Play on Roblox

Questions I’m trying to figure out:

  1. Does having a “Slots” style feature elsewhere in the same experience affect how the rest of the game gets classified, even if that feature is separate from the core ball-drop loop?
  2. Does displaying rewards as “1x / 26x / 130x” multiplier labels vs. rarity names (Common/Rare/Epic) actually make a difference to moderation, or is that not something that matters?
  3. Has anyone had a similar mechanic get reinstated after appeal, and if so what specifically did you change?
  4. Is odds disclosure via “1 in X” format acceptable, or does it need to be percentage-based to count as compliant?
