Game Runs Fast in Studio, Slow in Game?

Hey guys, my game runs really fast in studio and very slow in game for some reason. Anyone know why?
Also, strangely in game there is 500 MB memory on the developer console and in studio there is like 1700 MB memory. Shouldn’t this mean studio lags more?

There’s no information in this thread so we can’t know. Client memory use is not an accurate measurement of performance so it’s not necessarily true that more memory consumption means slower but it is certainly a heavier game in terms of downloading assets.

There have been a few complaints about Studio bloating memory use for place files that are usually small but unsure of why that is. Try searching for other threads or potential bug reports that are citing the same issue, one may turn up a reason for why that’s the case.

In other words, please employ proper debugging strategies to diagnose the performance of your game and see where things are dropping off. Specifically, the MicroProfiler. Feel free to take a look at any of the other Optimisation articles as well for further help.

Make sure your game has no viruses in it, they can cause a LOT of lag.
