Old chat is kept in terms of visual, but backend logic got updated.
Eh, even when I have my game’s chat set to LegacyChatService it automatically updates to the new TextChatService
![]()
So how would you keep it then?
This seems to be some wierd procrastination from roblox
While they’ve supposedly done batch migration and some staff have said that LegacyChatService code is eventually gonna be purged, it still seems possible to just reject TextChatService
huh, makes me wonder how those games have managed to do it or that it’s ‘just’ luck (none of my places have ha this luck)
Customisation with the new chat is still too limited
Kind of adds to it being an incomplete update if neither that nor ‘proper migration’ are executed correctly.
I’ll keep it at ‘just lucky’ then, as there’s again no Roblox engineer reading this who may give an explanation. So eh, thanks I think ;D
