As of 01:00 BST last night, our game Curse Randomizer has had its home recommendation impressions drop to 0 for seemingly no reason. We don’t have any banners in the analytics page, no warnings or messages from staff, and the questionnaire is up to date. The QPTR of the thumbnails is above 1%.
We believe this to be a bug as we have other games that are a lot less popular, but have maintained their home impressions. They’ve never dropped to 0.
We recently published an update and are testing new algo improvements focusing on retention and user feedback. You can find more information here
We also made an update to your experience analytics and should help you understand recommendation trends. Within your experience analytics you can go to the acquisition tab and view the Not interested rate against impressions
I checked that page on our analytics, and the number doesn’t even seem high at all. It peaked at 600 and the average is 260 per million impressions. Surely that isn’t high enough for the algorithm to show the game to basically no one?
It seems like a very extreme knee-jerk reaction from it to go from normal to almost 0.
Thank you for the follow up. As mentioned in the post, there were a few changes, not just that signal. You can view more information about user retention under the creator analytics tab named “retention”. You can read more about it here
I will double check to see if there are any bugs with the current behavior
I also have a very low amount on the analytics, and my game is still flatlined. The retention drastically reduced AFTER the game stopped getting pushed through Home Recommendations. Our not interested rate avg is 382 per million. As @Arenoir said, it feels too extreme for a game that was getting 3M impressions..
Our other game suddenly flatlined, and now our new game appears to be experiencing the same issue, despite having strong and above-average metrics. From our side, there has been no clear or reasonable explanation for this sudden drop in performance.
This situation is seriously affecting our game’s visibility and overall performance, and it seems that other developers may be facing similar issues as well, also without any clear explanation.
We would greatly appreciate it if this could be looked into, or if any clarification could be provided regarding what may be causing this behavior.
It has been almost 10 days, we have an open ticket and still no answers from roblox side, Would it be posible to provide us an update? It is seriously affecting our game. Many other Developers complaining about the same issue too. @Th3_avocad0
