GDPR Request/Right to Erasure -- Can't find UserID in Datastores

Hello everyone. So with having a big roblox games, sometimes you usually get the “right to erasure” message in your inbox saying to delete a ID from your datastores.

I got one some days ago, and, when trying to go searching for the User ID in my datastores, it simply didn’t appear? Like no matter where I searched, it just wasn’t there. I couldn’t find it whatsoever.

I’m not sure if this was a repeated message because I’m currently using the built-in roblox data storage manager, and it usually takes about 30 days to fully delete a key. I used to use the DataDelve plugin for complying with right to erasure requests.

If it helps, the only datastores I have are HD Admin’s.

Also I used this script, Right to Erasure / Deleting Player Data from Datastores Tutorial - Resources / Community Tutorials - Developer Forum | Roblox, and it came up as “nil” from what I remember.

Anyways, TLDR, I’m not sure if this was a repeat of an old message and I deleted the key beforehand and then after 30 days it just got deleted (thus prompting roblox to send the message again, as a “reminder”), or if the key is still lurking in my game. I’m honestly not sure if people have actually been moderated with GDPR/Right to Erasure requests, hence why I’m concerned. I’ve worked very hard to build my game as it is and I really don’t want it thrown away because I couldn’t find a singular datakey.

Any help would be appreciated.

Roblox automatically deletes it whenever it lands in your messages inbox.

Hi,

If that’s the case, then I’m not sure why this didn’t happen with the more recent Right to Erasures I got, which I found in my DataStores just fine (and safely deleted).

There’s a chance that the user IDs in question never played your game. I’m not sure why but it happens sometimes.

Ah, alright. I honestly didn’t consider this, so thanks.

Update on this: I decided to test a proper script I made with the ID I couldn’t find in my datastores. I can safely say, it doesn’t exist or it was deleted beforehand, and roblox just sent the message again. Thank you everyone who helped me with this, let’s just hope my findings are correct and I’m good to go with GDPR.

I do apologise. That’s what I thought happened when it landed in your inbox. Usually there’s a parameter which can do it for you automatically when you save data.

You’re okay, your advice contributed to helping :] What do you mean by parameter per chance, however?
